Chef Jomon has come with an extremely easy, hot, spicy and flavorful grilled chicken recipe called the Jolokia Chicken using the Flavaa Bhoot Jolokia Chilli paste.This recipe is a treat for your spicy taste buds .Chef Jomon describe it as one of the hottest grilled chickens ever due to the presence of the Bhoot Jolokia also known as Naga chilli which remains a key ingredient in the recipe. To make this Jolokia chicken created you need to follow a few simple steps mentioned below.

Ingredients:

  •  Thinly sliced pieces of Chicken Breasts
  •  2 tbps(tablespoon) Oil
  •  Pink Salt(as per taste)
  •  Lemon juice squeezed from one whole lemon
  •  1tsp(teaspoon) Ginger Garlic paste
  •  1tbps of Yogurt
  • Curry leaf oil and some assorted herbs (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

  • Step 1- Take two tbps of oil in a bowl and add some pink salt, yogurt and ginger garlic paste , and lemon juice. In that mixture add one heaped        tablespoon of the Flavaa bhoot jolokia paste.,
  • Step 2- Add the chicken pieces and mix everything nicely.The chef recommends that you keep the marinated chicken in the refrigerator for two hours at least so that the chicken to soak up the flavour .But of course if you are running short of time you can cook these immediately.
  • Step 3- Heat a grilled pan and make sure its properly heated and pour a very small amount of cooking oil into the pan.Place the marinated grilled chicken pieces in the pan and cook them until they are crispy and well cooked.
  • Step 4- Your Jolokia Chicken is ready. Garnish this amazing spicy grilled chicken with some curry leaf oil and assorted herbs.

Chef Jomon Kuriakose is a celebrated chef who specializes in Indian Cuisines and is passionate about creating flavors and innovative dining.He is specially known for his modern perspective that he lends to Indian food.
He hails from Kerala and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Managment from Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration at Mangalore University .After graduating he was offered his first role as Chef de Parie Sigree with the Speciality Private ltd. one of the leading restaurant groups.

In 2008 he moved to London where he was appointed Chef de Partie at Bombay Palace and this served as a learning experience for him where he strengthened his expertise over Indian Cuisine and also developed his skills in fine Anglo -Indian dining.

In 2012 he was appointed as the senior Chef de Partie at Cinnamon Kitchen which specialized in fusing Eastern spices with western culinary styles.He quickly progressed to the position of Sous Chef in the Cinnamon Kitchen learning under the guidance of the Executive Chef and CEO of the Cinnamon kitchen Vivek Singh .He joined as Chef de Cuisine in 2017 at the Baluchi a Pan-Indian restaurant at The Lalit London where he continues to create new and exciting dishes continually to enhance the menu as well as leading the kitchen on a day to day basis.

His most remarkable TV appearance was in the famous culinary show called the BBC Celebrity Master Chef 2018 where he trained two British celebrities about Indian food and the unique cooking styles associated with it.
